I would like to thank Dan Nickerson, CEO of Got Zip, for helping to make this blog possible.
Dan offers a free webhosting account for county subscribers at Got-Zip.com. As long as I continue to subscribe to my county, Cherokee County, NC, the hosting for this blog is free - and I intend to be a long-term county subscriber.

I am in the process of moving this site to another server.
This has nothing to do with Dan’s hosting service, which was easy, reliable, and trouble-free.
I made the decision a couple of months ago to consolidate all of my accounts to make it easier for me to manage everything. So, I’ve closed all but three of my hosting accounts and I’ve moved almost all of them to my HostGator account.
Dan still has a lot of influence over the look and function of my WordPress blogs, because I use the ZipSense theme that he developed last year on almost all of my self-hosted WordPress blogs.
So, this is not a negative reflection on Dan and Got Zip, it’s just a decision to make my life easier.
